Knowing Graham as I do, in both a personal and professional capacity, I am more than qualified to say that he is a man of many questions! What I mean by this is that he is an incredibly self-reflective and inquisitive person with a generous amount of curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. He epitomises the theory of 'Self-Efficacy' as he fully believes in himself and his ability to succeed and accomplish his goals. In the world of business, Graham's self-efficacy is represented by two of his main entrepreneurial attributes:
self-confidence;
a willingness to take risks and have the courage of his own conviction.
Is Graham altruistic? Definitely.
One of Graham’s strengths is his ability to interact, collaborate and invest selflessly in people. Creating a sense of community and togetherness sits at the very heart of his new venture and this collaborative spirit was fostered through many years of successful franchising. Graham perceives franchising as a rare and valuable commodity because one of its strengths is having a pool of support from a network of fellow franchisees.
In his own words, the reason why he values franchising so much is because he appreciates that, like many of his peers and clients, "it can be quite a lonely place."
Has anyone ‘taught’ Graham to do what he does so well?
Whilst Graham has had the privilege of building professional relationships with other successful business leaders and entrepreneurs over the years, the true answer is that he is self-taught and self-managed. He has naturally experienced various stumbling blocks and pitfalls that he describes as an "integral part of being in business." Such experiences have empowered him with the ability to navigate every possible obstacle known to him, with a little help from his peers along the way.
