In my early career as a teacher I worked in many inner-city comprehensives in some incredibly socially deprived areas. I was instantly in awe of certain, memorable, teachers who seemed to naturally breathe confidence as well as discipline into both students and colleagues alike. It was at this very point in my life that I wanted to help, nurture, grow and tease out the very best in those who I was so very privileged to impart my knowledge with - no matter how challenging.

 

You cannot underestimate the power of good influence and creative thought. I quickly developed my skills and awareness of how emotions can play a significant role in all aspects of our lives. By mastering my own emotional intelligence, I found that I had created communication on a different level and I loved what I was capable of creating with the impressionable minds around me. By regulating emotions, we can all become more productive and successful. Emotional intelligence is a fundamental part of who we are and a crucial element of our overall well-being and I know how hard it can be for many business owners in this day and age to keep this regulated.
